EconProdigy 7.0: Celebrating Innovation, Empathy, and Policy Leadership
The Grand Finale of EconProdigy’s Seventh Edition once again proved why it stands as the country’s most influential inter-university policymaking competition. This year, the stage belonged to three remarkable teams whose ideas reflected a deep understanding of Bangladesh’s social and economic landscape.
Demos Kratos secured the position of First Runner-Up, while Team Freakonomics earned Second Runner-Up. But it was Sisimpur who rose as the Champion of EconProdigy 7.0, claiming the top spot in what has now become the biggest policymaking challenge in our academic history.
Sisimpur’s policy proposals ranged from rural healthcare reforms and gender-inclusive community development to climate-conscious economic strategies. Their approach was rooted in compassion and driven by a strong commitment to long-term reform. Their vision, as they shared, was inspired by the values of inclusivity: “Just like Sisimpur, we wanted a society where everyone feels included and valued, regardless of their differences.”
This year’s winners reminded us that policymaking is more than technical frameworks or numerical models. At its core, it is about people and their stories, their needs, and their hopes for a fairer, more sustainable future. EconProdigy 7.0 once again highlighted the power of young minds in shaping tomorrow’s policies and the promise they hold for building a kinder, more equitable Bangladesh.
